Mardi Gras Restaurants P. Limited (Food Factory™) was founded by Nandkumaarr Awatramanii in October 2002.
This hotelier is often described as a buzzing entrepreneur by many publications of news and trade. He intended to create a concept of selling quality food at fast-food prices that could be easily adapted to various taste palettes across India. He chose Italian food, as it is the only cuisine that has a resemblance
in basic taste to the Indian cuisine.
He believes, Italian cuisine is the only other cuisines that will make a permanent impression on the palettes of Indians. His innovative idea to sell 'Slice Pizza'
to the Indian consumer with an Indian Tadka added to its flavor has become
the hottest selling franchise concept.
