  • What kind of Franchise is this?


    • This will be an intra city franchise (within the city), granted for a Geographical region comprising of a particular area of a city. (Master franchise will be granted for the complete city or region).

  • Will it be Exclusive?


    • This franchise will give you the rights to open one store within a specified period without granting any exclusivity (In the case of a master franchise, the master franchisee has the right to open mutually decided number of stores within a stipulated period of time, either themselves or by sub-franchising)

  • Will you appoint anyone else in the zone I am operating in?


    • The company can, but will not, unless it deems it essential, based on your performance or on your request to give up a part or whole of the area to another. (In the case of a master franchise, the company will not appoint another master franchisee)

  • What is the structure of the franchise fee?

    FOOD COURT MODEL
    Space Requirement – 275 to 300 sq ft carpet area
    Ideal location/s: Food court within malls, Hyper markets, IT Parks, Corporate Parks, Railway stations and Airports
    Approximate Investment: 12 Lakhs per location (excluding the Franchise fee, Taxes & Rental Deposits)

    RESTAURANT MODEL
    Space Requirement – 800 to 1200 sq ft carpet area
    Ideal location/s: Malls, Stand Alone locations which witness a high footfall, Hyper markets, IT Parks, Corporate Parks, Railway stations and Airports
    Approximate Investment: 14.5 Lakhs per location (excluding the Franchise fee, Taxes & Rental Deposits)

    KIOSK MODEL
    Space Requirement – 75 to 110 sq ft carpet area
    Ideal location/s: Multiplexes, Mall Atriums, Food court within malls, Hyper markets, IT Parks, Corporate Parks, Railway stations and Airports
    Approximate Investment: 2.5 Lakhs per location (excluding the Franchise fee, Taxes & Rental Deposits)

    Note: The Kiosk model has to be within a traveling distance time of 5 minutes from either a Food court or a Restaurant model.

    Royalty will be calculated at 8% of the net sales (Exclusive of Applicable taxes)
    Advertisement Royalty will be calculated at 2% of the net sales (Exclusive of applicable taxes)

  • What would be my return on investment & payback period?


    • Return on investment is dependant on Site location and the capability to manage and run your own business according to the specified MGR Standard Operating Procedures . The payback period should be be between 16 to 24 months depending on the sales mix.

  • Who does the Site Selection?


    • Mardi Gras Restaurants Pvt Ltd. will assist the franchisee in locating and negotiating lucrative locations across PAN India. If there are locations that are available to you or you know of, please pass on the information the MGR franchise and business development team at the below mentioned address. The final approval will be done by Mardi Gras Restaurants Pvt Ltd.

  • Will I be provided training?

    • Yourself and your initial store team will be provided a 6 to 8 week training course in all functions of the business free of cost. The training programme will be conducted in Mumbai by a trained professional team at The corporate office and on locations. Help and assistance of boarding and lodging and lodging for the franchisee and his/her initial store opening team will be provided at the cost of the franchisee.

  • What about Purchasing?

    • Appropriate product specifications and a list of approved products will be provided where possible local suppliers and vendors will be identifies, evaluated and commissioned.

  • Who will decide the menu pricing and the sales promotion?

    • Mardi Gras Restaurants P limited will decide all menu pricing, menu items and sales strategy. (Mardi Gras Restaurants P Limited will always be open to suggestions from any of its franchisees)

  • What about Advertisement & Sales promotion?

    • The franchisee will have to spend 2% of their net sale on advertisements and promotions with an additional 1% in year 1. Detailed modalities on spending will be defined in the Principal Agreement.
