INTENSIVE TRAINING TO THE FRANCHISEE
There is an argument for just getting on with things,
for getting stuck in and learning by your mistakes as you go. But that isn't what we believe in here at Food Factory™ Express . Just ask our Restaurant Managers.
They've benefited from one of the most comprehensive training programmes around. They also receive ongoing support once
their counter is up and running. And as a franchisee, you'll benefit from all this.
The important thing is that you're ready when the time comes. We won't just hand over the keys and leave you
to sink or swim. We want you to feel comfortable and confident from the outset. That's why our training process is significantly more comprehensive than many others. As far as we're concerned,
our relationship is a long-term one that is based on mutual trust - something that's reflected in our training itself, which addresses the importance of being able to build
effective working relationships before anything else.
Franchisees must undertake an extensive training programme
of approximately 8 weeks duration before they are proposed an outlet franchise. This training is unpaid. Food Factory
Express do not charge extra for the training.
The training programme is very much the bedrock of our
approach to franchising and ensures the consistency and standards for which the Food Factory Express brand is well known.
The majority of the training takes place in an outlet
within commuting distance of your home address. In addition to outlet based training there are a number of classroom-based courses to attend. These are in the initial phase of your training.
The training programme broadly divides into three sections:
- For the first three weeks you will be working on the arious sections of the outlet – pasta, pizza & order taking & other back-up areas. You will learn both the theory and practice of running each part of the outlet.
- The second part of your training gets you involved in the day-to-day outlet management of the outlet. Starting from supervising small sections of the outlet operation, our aim is to build your experience and confidence so that you take on responsibility for the running of the outlet for certain parts of the day - in effect you will be a shift manager.
- The final two weeks of your training introduce you to more business management and administration tasks and procedures whilst maintaining your shift running responsibilities.
Ideally you will be trained in at least two different restaurants, to give you experience of differing operating conditions.
During your training you will be supported by a member of our field services team. The role of this group is to help franchisees profitably build sales, and enhance Food factory Express brand through top quality operations.
Field services will review your training and decide when you are ready to be proposed a Food Factory outlet. Once you have your own outlet, field services will provide
whatever support is necessary to help you build the sales and profits of your own outlet business. This may range from direct 'hands-on' support to discussing business
and marketing plans. Field services provide relevant support and advice, benchmarking, and share best practice with you.
It all adds up to a truly impressive training and support package. And while it may sound too good to be true, we can assure you this is just the outline of the help and
advice you'll receive.

Finally, our experienced regional managers provide comprehensive
operational back up. If you have a problem, they can help. Their knowledge and expertise can be called upon to assist with every day matters as well as helping you to recoup
your investment many times over.

TECHNICAL SUPPORT
As a majority of the investment made by you is investing
in kitchen equipment and computer hardware and software, technical support will be provided to you for all of the
above. Initial training will be given on how to operate the equipment and software to reduce daily ware and tare
and prolong the life of the equipment so as to reduce your maintenance costs in the long term. A portion of
the Sales will be spent on monthly and annual maintenance contracts, but it our office that will assist you in co-coordinating
with the technicians for various equipment used by you at a marginal cost.

NEGOTIATIONS & SITE SELECTION HELP
In the fast-food industry there is one factor that can make of break your business and that is the location of
your outlet. Hence we will assist you in site selection and guide you in the right direction. Once you have selected a few sites, our franchise development officer will help
in offer his services in negotiating for the property along with you. This will help by reducing the monthly expenditure of EMI or lease, because of his knowledge
of the market, its prices per square foot and most his valuable asset, negotiation skills.
HYGIENIC & WELL ESTABLISHED FOOD SUPPLIERS
Mardi Gras restaurants will find and allocate key suppliers for all food materials after reviewing their hygiene standards
from point of purchase to point of sale to the franchisee at a fixed yearly rate. This will help in standardizing
the food costs as well as ensure that only the best raw materials are used by all franchisees.
RENOVATION & ADVISORY SERVICES
All necessary renovation and advice on interiors with detailed plan layouts will be provided by MGR after the franchised location is finalized. CONTRACT
& OTHER LEGAL HELP
Advice regarding legalities of the business will be given by MGR. Legal fees will be born by the Franchisee per
location. As we have set up several sites, we will be able to provide formats and guidelines to all legal matters
pertaining to the necessary governmental regulations regarding business and trade licences and land.
ASSISTANCE WITH HIRING & TRAINING EMPLOYEES

SATELLITE KITCHEN DESIGN IN AACODANCE WITH HACCP
MGR will provide you with a complete layout of kitchen design, positioning, plumbing and electrical designed
to international standards, using practical, cost effective and cost saving equipment, furniture and fixtures. A well
designed kitchen will facilitate in the efficiency of the employees, help maintain strict hygiene levels and
creates a safe environment to work in. The cost of the design is included in the franchise fee.
LOWEST RATES ON EQUIPMENT & FIXTURES
MGR’s power of collective buying promises the lowest
rates on all equipment, furniture and fixtures. All discounts that we receive from each equipment supplier will be passed
on to the franchisee to enable the franchisee to have the lowest set-up costs. We have with us a distinguished
number of suppliers of all equipment, furniture and fixtures for all major cities.
